Work order details and permalink

Every work order in SolarSENS has a dedicated detail page and a stable permalink. The detail view gives you the full record in one place. The permalink lets you share a direct link to that record so anyone with access can open it immediately without searching.

Use the detail view when you need to read or update a specific work order’s full context: subject, description, status, assignee, subtasks, attachments, evidence, and history. Use the permalink when you need to share a reference to that work order in a message, report, ticket, or handover note.

From the work order list:

  1. Locate the work order using the list view, search, or filters.
  2. Click the work order row or title to open its detail page.
  3. The detail view shows all fields, current status, ownership, subtasks, attachments, and activity history in a single scrollable view.

From a notification or direct link:

  1. If you received a notification about a work order, click the link in the notification to go directly to that work order’s detail page.
  2. If someone shared a permalink with you, open it in your browser. You will land on the detail page for that specific work order.

Each work order has a unique URL that acts as a stable permalink. This URL does not change after the work order is created, even if the status, assignee, or title changes.

To copy the permalink:

  1. Open the work order detail page.
  2. Copy the URL from the browser address bar.

Alternatively, the work order may offer a dedicated Copy link or Share action. If available, use that to get the canonical permalink without navigating away.

Permalinks are useful in a variety of coordination scenarios:

  • sharing a specific work order in a team message, chat thread, or email without attaching a full report
  • including a reference in a handover note so the incoming team opens the exact record
  • linking from an external incident ticket, customer email, or service request
  • providing a direct reference during a review meeting so attendees can follow along

The detail page shows everything attached to a single work order record:

  • plant, area, and device context
  • subject and description
  • status, priority, category, and requester
  • assignee and due date
  • shutdown and availability impact details where applicable
  • subtasks and their completion status
  • attachments and evidence files
  • resolution notes and closure outcome
  • activity history showing status changes, reassignments, and comments
  • The permalink is stable but access is governed by the viewer’s role and plant permissions. Sharing a link with someone who does not have access to that plant will not let them open the record.
  • If the work order has been archived, the permalink still works. The detail view opens in the archived state and shows the full history.
  • If the work order has been deleted, the permalink will no longer resolve to a valid record.
  • Some environments may display the work order ID in the URL. Use that ID when referencing the work order in external systems or reports.
