Concept
The Concept section explains how SolarSENS turns raw measurements into indicators, what each indicator means, and how access and operational records are structured. Read the relevant page before comparing values across views or escalating a data issue.
Access and data foundations
Section titled “Access and data foundations”Performance and energy
Section titled “Performance and energy”Solar plant performance is not one number. SolarSENS separates it into indicators that answer different questions:
| Question | Concept page |
|---|---|
| How much energy did the plant deliver relative to the solar resource available? | Performance ratio calculation |
| How much of the plant’s included capacity was available, and which factors explain lost energy? | Availability and energy-loss attribution |
| How did solar generation, facility demand, and grid exchange relate? | Metering, consumption, and grid flow |
| Is dirt reducing performance, and would cleaning help? | Cleaning and soiling analytics |
These indicators complement one another: a plant can be available but perform below expectation, or have a healthy PR on the intervals that counted while missing part of the expected operating period.
